Oxbo, a leader in specialty harvesting and controlled application equipment, announced its partnership with the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology at Fresno State. As the official pistachio equipment partner, Oxbo will support Fresno State’s pistachio harvest for the 2024 season.
Fresno State’s 1,000-acre farm includes 97 acres of pistachio orchards, with 25 acres ready for harvest. Oxbo will provide its pistachio shaker, receiver, and bin carrier while offering hands-on training to Fresno State students. Students will gain practical experience in managing and operating the equipment under Oxbo’s guidance.
In a press release, Cory Venable, Director of Sales and Marketing for Oxbo, explained that the partnership underscores Oxbo’s commitment to supporting agricultural education.
“Oxbo has invested in supporting agricultural education programs in California for over a decade and we are proud to continue this support through a partnership with Fresno State,” Venable said in the release. “We view our partnership as a way of investing in the future of agriculture. Together with Jordan College, we hope to empower the next generation of agricultural leaders by helping provide access to cutting-edge equipment and technology and providing students with opportunities to explore careers and opportunities within specialty agriculture.”
