BAKERSFIELD, CA– The Kern County Farm Bureau will hold its 19th Annual Spray Safe Event on Friday, January 17thfrom 7:00 AM- 1:00 PM at the Kern County Fairgrounds located at 1142 S PSt, Bakersfield, CA 93307.

Spray Safe is an educational event that promotes farmer-to-farmer communication and cooperation on the safety applications of pesticides through bilingual workshops and demonstrations. Uniting over700 people annually, Spray Safe provides individuals with a designated space to collaborate on the latest leading technology and ethical practices relating to the use and application of pesticides and will be offering continuing education (CE) hours for DPR license and certificate holders.

“Spray Safe was established to promote safe practices in the agricultural industry, with a goal of teaching the agricultural community new laws and regulations related to spraying pesticides,” says Daniel Palla, Spray Safe Committee Chair. “We are committed to making sure that everyone is given the knowledge of how to work safely and productively.”

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, this event has been offered for free in past years to ensure collective efforts and education are provided for our community to implement the best practices in agricultural safety and excellence. A complimentary lunch will be provided.

“Spray Safe gives individuals the opportunity to speak with industry professionals and ensures that the correct safety practices are shared within our community,” said Jenny Holtermann, President of the Kern County Farm Bureau. “With Kern County ranking as the top agricultural producing county in the nation, it is crucial that we continue to lead in agricultural safety.”
